I read the first book of the Ruby Ring series and couldn't wait to get home from work to pick up the second book to find out how the story between Sarah and the immortal Victor progresses. In Book one, Sarah entered Victor's world by chance when she stepped through a portal in time that once swallowed up her sister. Sarah's struggling to find her way in this new world. Even though adjusting doesn't come easily, she's tough and won't give up her quest to solve the mystery about her sister's disappearance.When first signs appear that something horrible happened to Liz, Sarah's determined to find her no matter what. But to do so she must risk her own life by exposing herself to her pursuers. The Immortal Court is not pleased that Victor shared the Ruby Ring with his new wife, Sarah. For his reckless behavior, he must be punished with death, and so must Sarah. More than ever before, Victor's determined to save both Sarah's and his life...even if it means going against her will. So he hunts her down wherever she's going, watching her, helping her to learn to use her powers, keeping them alive when in reality all he wants is her.
The romance part was definitely heating up in this book. I found myself blushing a few times and wishing Victor wasn't just a figment of the author's imagination. The second book of the series also has more drama, more action, and an ending that left me wishing there was another book in the series so I would get to continue following the characters' lives. Eternal Destiny was definitely one of those emotional reads you cannot put down. If you love your males strong and your heroines funny and stubborn, and a good romance that also offers a bit of a mystery, this is the book for you. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can only recommend it.

I am hooked! This is a page turner! Sarah has to go on a quest to find the minerals of life in an attempt to save the late king and to keep Ethanos from getting the crown and to save herself and her loved ones from getting killed. Sarah has to make a big decision, to return to her world or stay with Victor in his world? Can love conquer all? What will Sarah choose?
I liked the first book a lot, but for some reason I could not get into the second book. The writing was very confusing in a lot of places. Sometimes you didn't know who was talking, or suddenly the characters where in a place and you had no idea how they got there. Also the main character Sarah seemed inconsistent in this book. One minute she declares her undying love and the next she wants to go back home and never see him again. There were a few other inconsistencies as well that did not make for a pleasurable reading experience.
I had high hopes for this book, the story concept is brilliant, but was disappointed. I think the characters and story line needed a little more developing and this could have been a great book.
At this point I have no plans to read the third book.
Chrissy Peebles has outdone herself with this highly captivating, hold your interest to the end romance story with a twist in "Eternal Destiny". This is the 2nd book in what is a highly successful series written by an extraordinary author that uses words as her canvas and takes the reader on a journey of a lifetime. It picks up right where book one, "Eternal Vows" left off. Sarah, along with her friends Frank, Beth, and Steven are trying to figure out how to get back to their time but before they do Sarah needs to find her sister, her sister that disappeared 10 years ago after a Bigfoot chased them into a cave. They get a lead on where her sister can be found and while heading to find her they encounter three different groups of Immortals that want to see them dead and that is not including her `husband' Victor who wants to keep her safe for his own reasons...one reason of course is that he loves her; the other reason I won't mention as I do not want to spoil the story for anyone.
Sarah and her group find themselves on a rollercoaster, whirlwind journey. They encounter several mystical beings like the Bigfoot, giant wolves, and unicorns not to mention the immortals that are after them. Will they find Liz? Will they make it back to their time? Does Sarah truly find her Prince Charming? To find out these answers and more you will have to read this story for yourself and you will NOT be disappointed when you do.
Ms. Peebles writes an extraordinary love story with a twist. This is a well written book that kept me reading late into the night. I just did not want to put this book down. Ms. Peebles is an exceptional writer that paints pictures with her words and draws the reader into her world. I could see the world that she created, see the people that Sarah and her friends encountered, see King Victor who wants `Princess Gloria' for his own reasons and by the close of this story I felt that I knew her characters as if they lived next door. When I turned the final page it was like saying good-bye to new friends that I hope to see again very soon. This truly is a 5-star book written by a 10-star writer, so please become friends with all of these characters and Ms. Peebles and pick up your copy today, you will not be disappointed!!!
I was happily surprised to for nd that Book 2 in The Ruby Ring series was written with a more adult storyline. The story was intriguing, mystifying, exciting, with a beautiful love story. Having found her sister, Elizabeth, Sarah's adventures were even more intense than Book 1's. An excellent read.
